CONSULTATIONS
Historic Ithaca’s Preservation Services can provide the expertise of an architectural conservator to owners of older and historic properties. Through site visits and consultations, our trained staff examine and assess a building’s problems and recommend corrective or preventive measures, working with building owners to select interior and exterior treatments appropriate to the historic fabric.
REPAIR & RESTORATIONS
Through our Work Preserve program at Significant Elements, our architectural salvage store, we are able to offer services including sash repair, furniture repair, and hardware restoration.
RESOURCE SURVEYS &
HISTORIC DESIGNATIONS
We provide support to individuals and groups nominating historic properties to the National Register of Historic Places and for local historic designation. We can assist with identifying funding sources where available and applicable. We have a long track record of providing consultant services to municipalities and other groups undertaking cultural resource surveys, historic structure reports, and similar projects.
